Re: Questions About Satin Sheets
Yes , thats the only way to have them. So the flat satin sheet is facing down. I Have a cotton sheet between my satin duvet and top flat satin sheet to stop the duvet slip sliding away !!! The satin duvet makes the bed look amazing when made up during day time.

Re: Questions About Satin Sheets
For me it depends on whether I'm taking photos or not. If I am, the top sheet will be shiny side up, for obvious reasons.
If I'm sleeping, masturbating, or fucking - then I want both shiny sides sliding against my body.
I've been known to use two top sheets for slippery shine inside and out,
The same applies to pajama pants.
I enjoy wearing two pairs. Shiny on the outside to slide against my satindoll,
Shiny smooth inside for my naked cock to swing and slide in.

Re: Questions About Satin Sheets
This is certainly one of the perennial questions - how good are the commercially available polyester 'satin' sheets which are widely available today?
I suspect there is a good deal of variation in quality - however I think it is fair to say that you get what you pay for.
For my part I have found the commercial ones to be too thin and the material bobbles up quite quickly where heels are rubbing.
So over the years I have had a good number of sets made up bespoke by a seamstress who I can speak to and discuss my requirements as to bed size, elasticated corners, double sided duvet covers, pillowcases etc. I reckon on about 14 metres for a complete set which includes 4 pillowcases.
At least I can check the quality first - medium to heavy weight i.e. > 250 gm / m2. Often Duchesse satin is a good bet.
Some of the material from Japan is especially good.
I suppose if one is lucky enough to be in the Far East and can visit a local market then this would work well. Much cheaper to buy and one can assess quality first.
Personally, I like satin to satin with a satin duvet on top - as it gets towards winter stain pjs also work for me.

Re: Questions About Satin Sheets
One very good piece of advice to have, when using Satin sheets, is...keep socks on! Far less damage to parts of the Satin, that way, from heels or toe nails.

Re: Questions About Satin Sheets
When I sleep in satin sheets, I wear socks for this very reason. I have a ScenSation acetate satin bridal comforter, and aside from the many love stains, the satin is still in good shape without snags or pulls.
