Can anyone help me identify this type of "cut" (photo)

Post by imsharkey »

Back in the 90's, Victoria's Secret used to offer satin pajamas that were sewn with the shiny side of the material on the "inside". They had a "crepe-de-chine" look to them and they were called "matte satin".

I have seen a few photos of blouses that were made this way, but I can not find any listings for them anywhere. I am probably using the wrong search terms. Can anyone help me with the name of this type of garment?

Here is an example from Newslipman's excellent photo stream. https://www.flickr.com/photos/71717057@ ... /lightbox/

This blouse has a normal cut, but the shiny side of the poly satin is on the inside.

Many thanks,
Sharkey

Are you sure it’s not just inside-out? That’s what it looks like to me.

I do remember something like that for pajamas and tap pants made with 2 layers, shiny side out and inside. I don't know what it's called though.
