Re: satin baju kurung / baju kurung satin

haha nice catch  only designer made are super tight AF  Not exactly. The kurung in that photo is bias-cut (the smooth side of the satin is placed at a 45-degree andgle to the length of the dress). Bias-cut garments tend to cling to your body and appear tight even if they are not cut to yo...

Re: A good place to buy satin clothes

A good place for me is Poshmark. I know some members here hate its high shipping fees (USD 7.5 for US domestic shipping), but it has a huge collection of second-hand satin dresses. It also allows offers, so if you know how to bargain, you can often get pretty good prices :) I've bought almost all my...

Re: Jenny Yoo dress

Just pulled the trigger on my 6th Jenny Yoo dress. This one is special because it's brand new, never worn :D It's been shipped and I can't wait to touch the virgin satin!

Re: Anyone from Malaysia?

Some of the satin are those I liked her to wear. Haha buried underneath other newer satin clothes. One thing good about satin clothes, they are thinner than normal cotton clothes, so can easily packed into 1 to 2 luggage bags. For the same amount of cotton clothes, you definitely can't fit everythi...

Re: Anyone from Malaysia?

Hi fellow Malaysians and satin lovers. Haha how's life. By the way, I am moving room as my rented place owner doesn't want to rent out anymore. As I was packing my fiancee satin clothes, was shocked that I've bought over 50 pieces of satin clothes, ranging from satin pyjamas, satin cardigans, satin...

Re: Interested

Married and enjoy wearing all kinds of long satin dresses and skirts. My wife doesn't share the love for satin, but she doesn't mind my "special interest".

That sounds like the style of the Canadian show "Just for Laugh Gags". I've never seen that particular episode though. Would love to find it :D

Re: misslook satin dress

Google shopping search of "misslook 6x" doesn't show any satin.

Posting a picture of your satin gem here would be easier.

Re: Wear and tear

From my own experience, it all depends on the kind of satin. I've washed my polyester satin countless times in cold water and they are as good as new. I've also washed a triacetate one and it came out fine. Rayon / viscose is a totally different story. I've purchased an H&M satin skirt that says...

Re: Jenny Yoo dress

It's on Ebay. I have messeged the owner for a better deal. But size doesn't matter to me The larger the better, but I'm going to stuff it with a body pillow and make love to it. Good luck! I hope you get a good deal on it! It's been up on eBay for a while, so I think your chances of getting a disco...

Is that from eBay? I've seen that picture on eBay before. But that particular dress is way too small for me

Re: Jenny Yoo dress

You are right. It's charmeuse, so it's definitely on the thin side. But the dresses have some weight to them, because they are fully lined. The best part is that the lining is also a shiny satin fabric :)

Re: Jenny Yoo dress

A little over two years ago, I pulled the trigger and bought a Jenny Yoo bridesmaid dress, and oh how I loved it! The satin fabric is simply the best I have in my closet. It is among the best in all three qualities I look for in satin: silkiness, shine and softness. All the fabulous fabric is then c...

Re: Anyone from Malaysia?

I'm more into dresses, skirts and blouses coz I'll be buying them for my fiancee. Probably Szewei guy is fighting for it too. Haha. I like his dresses. Really look silky and elegant. Sadly mostly M size. I assume she's a female coz if it's a guy, he could have bought L to XL sizes I suspect that th...
