Satin in the stores??

Is it just me, or is satin basically non-existent in lingerie and department stores? At least in Canada it is! There's a little bit in the dept stores, but low grade satin and way overpriced. There's 3 big chain lingerie stores in my city, La Senza, La Vie En Rose, and now a Victoria's Secret. And pretty much no satin anywhere! The thrift shops have gotten kinda embarrassing, seems they're busier now too, and not much satin anymore anyways. At least buying it at a retail store, it could be a gift, if I was to run into somebody I know. The adult stores have a little bit too, but again, low grade satin and overpriced.

Sure there's ebay, but that get's pretty expensive, and you're not always sure what you're going to get. The pictures can be deceiving sometimes.

I know exactly what you mean. I went into Fredericks of Hollywood and saw this super shiny teal cami and went in the store to look at it and it felt like cheesy nylon or polyester. Tag said Polyamide which is basically plastic.

I hear ya but I do buy quite a bit for my wife from La Vie En Rose but usually online when they have their clearance sales as you can get items for $20 or less. While it is not the greatest quality it works for the price...my wife loves it an wears it to bed nightly...too bad she is very camera shy.

I think everyone feels your pain. There are a couple La Vie en Rose outlet stores near me, and they have been my best source for the last several years, with stuff I never see in the regular stores. They seem to go in cycles though, as outlet type stores do. The regular LVeR stores are pretty much worthless. I seem to remember being able to go into an HBCo or Eaton's or even a Sears dept. store and having lots of satin to pick from.

It's funny about the crowded thing. I've always done my most relaxed shopping around xmas and Valentines. Then there's always the size issue...Yes, ma'am, I realize they're in different sizes....

Hi ! Sadly it seems to be the same in the UK, Satin has almost disappeared
but I have manage to get some from ''Amazon'' which has heliped supply my rather perverted needs
But good luck keep searching !!!

The same issue in Belgium Not that I shop a lot, but when I do, I barely notice satin clothes in the stores.

I haven't seen too much satin lingerie in dept. stores. Mostly I frequent resale shops and find some older clothing there. I don't buy too much new stuff...costs a lot.

I can agree 100%. My wife and I go "shopping" for satin under the guise that it's for her... but I've been let down more often than not. Only luck we have is ebay and or 2nd hand shops.

Correct, all I see in clingy micro-fiber nightclothes which hold as much sensual attraction as a hoodie. Fortunately, I have purchased so much of the years, I am able to rotate outfits so I don't get bored. doubt they're a high grade material but I saw a porn star Amai Liu wearing panties so similar to these I need to buy them. would like to be able to look around wal-mart's cheap stuff but do not have the courage.
