Re: RIP SATINSTAINER

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) affects the lungs, making it difficult to breath. Especially if, like SS, as it turns out, you only have one lung! Seems as if the odds were stacked against the poor bloke this time. I didn't know he only had one lung. Smoking? He never mentioned any hea...

Re: RIP SATINSTAINER

Ok, turns out he would have been 58 this coming June and died of "copd and pneumonia". Copd? I don't know what that is. It seems as if satin wasn't his only passion. They found 20 weather vanes amongst his stuff! Good old SS!

USA, around 56. Yes, he seemed a real good guy. He was happy to accept that we all have different likes/dislikes. He didn't judge anyone, was always fair and always amongst the first to welcome any new members. He always managed to make me smile or laugh. The forums lost a top member there.

Re: RIP SATINSTAINER

HI Albh, how are you doing? That's the thing though, isn't it? we never know what happens to these anonymous people we meet on these forums. One minute they are here, then they disappear. I'm as bad as anyone for that. Even relatives complain about me going "off grid" for weeks/months at a...

RIP SATINSTAINER

Just heard the shocking news that our friend Satinstainer passed away On Sept 29th. I hadn't been on here for a while and was concerned when I couldn't see any posts from him as he was one of the forums more prolific posters. Now I know why. I don't know the circumstances but do know that he was onl...

Re: Who likes to burn satin clothes?

I'm turned on by nice dresses/skirts maybe getting burn by a cigarette. We are al turned on by different things. I wouldn't like to see some old, original, one off getting destroyed.

Still, if it's just polyester satin, there is no shortage of that.

Re: Rescued from bin

I once saw a white satin wedding dress on top of a skip in Torquay, UK. I parked up around the corner and hurried back around and, trying to ignore any looks I might have been getting, bundled it up and took it home.

Ended up washing it and selling it.

Re: itchy arse?

Well, you see, we're so strong over here that if I was out in my convertible and it started to pour down I'd pull the HOOD up to keep me dry!

Anyway, I thought that "bonnets" were popular head gear with those Yanks that ride around in those little horsey buggy things.

Re: itchy arse?

It amuses me when I'm in the States and see signs for "tires", as opposed to "tyres". And if the "bonnet" of a car is the "hood", what do you call the thing that pulls over your head on a convertible when it starts to rain? (If you're a wimp and don't like get...

itchy arse?

Is it just my warped sense of humor or does anyone else think that it looks as if this dummy is scratching it's arse, (or ass for those people over the water that don't talk proper!)

Yep, I agree, (and think that that was the best dress she wore all movie. I hated her "new look" at the end!

Not sticktly satin but....

...I love watching Karolina dancing in this dress;

I wish dresses like this were back in fashion. They seem so much more feminine and classy than the horrible tight, Lycra tat worn by most girls these days.

Re: Outfits for sale?

Hi, IRLPS. How're you doing? I would have bet my house that you made sure that they knew how to look after the beautiful dresses you send them! I don't think that even supposedly "washable" silk satin is ever quite the same after it has actually been washed. What do you think?
